The first thing people want to know when they come to a website is "what's going on?" More users care about that than anything else. What do you have on special this week, what are your newest releases, have you moved locations, do you have a new toll free number... People don't care what was going on last fall.. They want to know what's going on today.
If users come to your website and nothing is happening.. Then they will in turn assume that nothing is going on in your company.
Control Freak gives you the ability to post company news by date, the last story you post will show up first on the page. The users will see the story title, a thumbnail of the embedded image in the story, and a lead line if you add one describing what the story is about.
You can also set up different categories of news (IE: press releases, newsletter, employee newsletter, etc.)
